The main thing about this game that is better are the controls. Anybody can grab the controller and perform suplexes or superstar finishers. WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 is around the corner so I expect that game to be awesome as well. If you want to get this game for the lower price at this time I highly recommend. You will be amazed by the various match types, numerous superstar selection to choose from, the realistic graphics and great overall gameplay.

Smackdown vs Raw is a good improvement over the last. Creating your own stories is fun, uploading and downloading wrestlers is fun as well. I also like playing the Scramble and the new Mixed Tag match is done ok too. You can also unlock The Rock, Trish Stratus, Dusty Rhodes, Bob Orton, Million Dollar Man, E. Jackson, Jesse, Eve, Mr. McMahon and Red and Green Dummies in Road to WM.

Te Rock and Trish are worth unlocking, same with Dusty, Million Dollar Man and Bob Orton. But I wish current wrestlers weren't unlockable. I mean who wants to play Road to WM to unlock Jesse ? If they're gonna have a current wrestler to unlock, I'd rather have Sheamus or or Hart Dynasty, even Zach Ryder. I'm also tired of Vince thinking people wanna unlock him. I'd rather have Ultimate Warrior, Flair, Macho Man, Sid or Ricky Steamboat. Plus if they're gonna have Dusty Rhodes, where's his Poco-dot outfit ??

As for the gameplay it's good that you can choose to have the old kick out system to choose from over the Legends of WM one since I find that one very difficult. As for submissions, I like that they kept the struggle feature and they added some new submission moves. But come on, when are they gonna turn the Ankle Lock into an actual submission move on the game. What's the point in having the move if no one gives up to it and it's only kept on for like 3 seconds. The 2007 feature where big men are hard to move or give finishers should be back as well but it's not. Anyone can man handle the great Kali. 8 Man Tags were also left out yet again.

My other problems with it is what's the point in downloading created wrestlers if you can't change their moves or their entrance music. If you create a tag team with created wrestlers, you can change their music. So why can't you for a single wrestler ? I also don't understand why you can only use created wrestlers a limited amount of time in created stories. Why can't you use created wrestlers in created stories as many times as you want. There should also be more slots, so you can download or create more wrestlers than they let you.

It can also be annoying that in some matches, even if you give a wrestler a beating....they kick out without it even being a 1 count. The best thing about 2009 is that when you got tired of the game you had downloadable wrestlers to look forward to. I rather download the real thing than download created wrestlers.
