The book itself is fabulous ... quite interesting seeing the pictures alongside stories of each family's daily life and the statistical breakdowns of food costs, obesity rates, poverty levels, etc. for the reader to make informed decisions. The vendor, however, listed the book as "like new" but the inside front cover was written on so I was disappointed with that.

I picked up this bag as a gift for my co-worker. She commented about how she had wanted one after seeing a woman carrying one during a lunch outing. Because it comes unsealed in a plastic bag I was able to take it out and look at it before giving it to her.

When I ordered it I didn't realize that it was reversible, but it is. It has the same FEED logos on either side, so you can choose to carry it either as a burlap or cotton bag. The construction of the bag is also very good, I would expect it to last quite a while with normal use. Additionally the size is perfect for carrying groceries, books, a change of clothes or whatever you need.

Obviously the look, style and use are not the only reason most people will buy this bag. The purpose of the World Food Programme Feed Bag is to raise awareness of the UN World Food Programme. The purchase of every FEED bag will provide food for one child for an entire year in school! It's my opinion that this makes a great gift, not only do you help out a worthwhile charity, but you can give a stylish bag too.

There is a lot of information in this book for older kids, while the illustrations are engaging enough for my 2 1/2 year old. She loves naming all the children. Great book!
