This album is a rarity. I cannot think of another double disc album that has no filler whatsoever. Also, "Love's in Need Of Love Today" is one of Stevie's best opening tracks. The opening line "Good morn or evening friends, here's your friendly announcer.." perfectly sets up the entire album. Other standout tracks include "Have a Talk With God", "Sir Duke", "Pastime Paradise", "Ngiculela", "If it's Magic", "I Wish", "Isn't She Lovely". Do you notice how many songs I have listed? The whole album is not only filled with standout tracks, but they are perfectly sequenced and blend in with each other exquisitely. If you like Stevie Wonder but don't have any of his albums, this is the one to start with. Then, pick up "Music Of My Mind", "Innervisions", "Talking Book", "In Square Circle". and "A Time To Love". These albums represent the best of the best.

This is a sort of appetizer for anyone interested in the cultural context of 19th century science. There are some howlers in the notes (for instance, the Doppler shift was *not* used to determine the distance between the Milky Way & the Andromeda Galaxy), so I wonder who was Holmes' scientific fact-checker. On the other hand, many biographies of great scientists are amazingly smallbore, & Age of Wonder broadens the view.

I bought one at Bed, Bath and Beyond for $9.99 plus tax(which I thought was a little steep for such a simple device)...but Yup!! This thing actually works!...and, contradicting a few other reviews, it is very sturdy and well worth the money for what it does.
However, don't buy it at their web site or by phone and take the chance of getting ripped off.
