I bought this out of curiosity and out of the fact that I was just craving some jerky. The original flavor has a mild peppery taste to it and it's really tasty. It's mostly tender, but there are some strips of meat that have beef tendons, making the strips really hard to chew. Yes, there does seem to be some sort of "grit" in the beef jerky, but I'm not really too bothered by it. The other thing I don't like about this is that there are sometimes (just sometimes) strips of meat that have no flavor. But overall, I think this was a pretty good buy. I might buy it again, but only after I try some other brands.

Bravo Wild Ride Beef Jerky for making such an exceptional product. I have always worried about my boyfriend's love of beef jerky, but no longer. Wild Ride Beef Jerky seems like a different kind of jerky because it advertises no preservatives, no nitrites, and no added msg. It is also not genetically enhanced and 97% fat-free. There are almost no other beef jerky brands that can make these claims. I love the fact that there is less junk in the jerky while tasting great. The texture is soft, but I love this fact because it saves your jaw from tiring. You don't have to rip it from your teeth to only chew and chew and chew, this product is deliciously tender. Until trying Wild Ride Beef Jerky, I really only ate jerky out of convenience or ease because 1)I was concerned about the health of my family and me
2) I felt bloated and sick after eating other brands of beef jerky because of all the chemicals and 3) because it hurt my jaw to eat. However, Wild Ride Beef Jerky has none of the chemicals like most beef jerky, and is ALL-NATURAL, plus deliciously tender. It is an excellent, portable, low-carb option and great for snacking, camping, hiking, and car trips. I totally recommend trying Wild Ride Beef Jerky. I've even seen it in health food stores like Wild Oats. This is one jerky you won't have to feel guilty about enjoying or eating for convenience.
