![]() Building Findable Websites: Web Standards SEO and Beyond $44.99 I first downloaded the 5 bonus chapters ([...]) and was hooked on Aarron Walter's clear writing, code, links and organization of his chapters. Since I picked it up, I haven't put it down. It has clarified previously mystifying concepts such as mod_rewrite, 301 redirects, 404 pages, and microformats -- and I'm only on page 80. For anyone interested in improving their current site or creating a new one from scratch, you MUST get this book. If you want people to find your site (finability), use web standards the correct way, and get SEO under your belt, I highly recommend this book. Taylor / [...] ![]() Build Your Own Website the Right Way Using HTML & CSS $29.95 I'm now in Chapter 4, this book is very good, I'm graphic designer, and I think this book is the perfect complement. I used to made the websites using tables or photoshop "save for the web" But this put me in a next level. ![]() SiteSpinner V2 $59.95 I have used SiteSpinner for several months now. I'm new at web site creation and I was easily able to learn the SiteSpinner fundamentals and create two excellent sites. The support via telephone or online is readily available and very helpful. I highly recommend this product. ![]() The Web Designer's Idea Book: The Ultimate Guide To Themes, Trends & Styles In Website Design $25.00 This is a great book for inspiration when your well is running dry. I recommend it as a necessary addition to any graphic designer's collection. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 is because one of the sites mentioned & included on the cover has errors (the bottom left corner, second one from the left). It contains bad CSS and visibly shows a a background for the navigation that is a few pixels too far to the left. Otherwise, great book. |
