My purchase of the Visionaries series brought back wonderful childhood memories when Saturday's cartoon lineup in the 1980's was a must for kids. The quality and packaging of this boxset dvd series was excellent! I was completely pleased that I was able to get a replacement to one of the disc that skipped in one of the episodes, which is a common problem that we eventually all encounter in purchasing any dvd. (All the other episodes were fine.) At first I was hesitant at ordering from a seller other than Amazon but after this purchase I would order again from Reflect Magic as they have proven to be reliable, professional and excellent customer service!

I became engrossed in this book and wanted to spend every minute reading it until I was finished. I thought it was excellent. The writing was great, and the parallel stories of Nigel and Jim were very interesting. I wanted to give it 5 stars for the story and writing, but I had to drop to 4 because of a few editing problems:

1. I found it confusing that there were three characters named Michael. Eventually, you figure out that Nigel's cousin Michael is the same person as Governor Michael Wilson, although their stories in the past and present don't quite mesh. For example, Nigel's tapes never say anything about his cousin becoming governor, do they? And why is Nigel's baby son named Michael, too? I always thought that a reason might come out, but it doesn't.

2. In other "naming" confusion, there is a character whose last name is Jacobson, the same as Jim's, and no connection ever comes out. Were we supposed to suspect a connection? It would have been better if these people didn't have the same last name. Also, Jacobson and Jamison sound too much alike; it would be better if more different names were used to avoid confusion.

I loved the story of Beth's faith, and how her quiet kindness had such an effect on others.

This book had it all - mystery, drama, love story, tragedy ... it will keep you thinking.
