![]() Philips Avent Variable Flow Nipple BPA-Free, 2 Pack $4.50 My daughter was put on a rice cereal formula which was thick in texture making it impossible to use the regular nipples without becoming tired or sometimes even giving up & staying hungry. I switched to the Variable Flow, which her doctor had recommended & it was great!! She was able to drink her formula without any difficulties. THANKS AVENT!!! ![]() Dremel 300-1/24 300 Series Variable Speed Rotary Tool Kit $110.36 Variable Speed Rotary Tool Kit, Variable Speed - 5,000-35,000 RPM, Includes: Case, 24 Accessories & Circle Cutter Attachment. ![]() Breville BJE510XL Ikon 900-Watt Variable-Speed Juice Extractor $249.99 As a long time juicer (15+ years), I've been through a few machines. From the ACME and it's PIA paper filters to a Juiceman that finally died after many years of hard use. Right off the bat, this is one awesome machine. To wit: 1. VERY high quality construction. All the parts weigh (what seems like) double what my old Juiceman did. It is made from very thick acrylic (or maybe its polycarbonate, I dunno) which looks like it will hold up to years of hard use. 2. The areas that get "wet" are all very smooth with no little nooks and crannies for pulp to accumulate or hide in. Very well thought out design. 3. EXTREMELY easy to clean. I just take the parts and hose them off in the sink with my faucet sprayer. Then I take the supplied brush and scrub the screen on the basket. Maybe 3 minutes, tops. Took me far longer with my Juiceman. I spend more time cleaning my food processor after using it than this juicer. 4. NO BITS SPRAYING OUT THE CHUTE! That was the worst thing about my last juicer. This unit's bin fits snugly against the chute for ZERO chance of spraying pulp. Great design. 5. Love the pitcher that comes with it. I tried using my normal 20oz glass but the force of the air blowing out of the machine sprays juice all over the place. No problem, just use the supplied pitcher. No mess and it skims the foam (makes my wife happy, she hates foam). 6. PULP IS DRY! Well, it's not saw dust dry, but it's far dryer than my last Juiceman. I have to squeeze the pulp very hard in my hand to get any more juice out. BTW, my last Juiceman was the top of the line one when I bought it, not the crappy Juiceman II. Anyway, the Breville is much more efficient and the variable speed worked will on the kiwis I threw at it. 7. I juiced about 40oz with out stopping (except for emptying the pitcher) and had no problems. No clogging at all. I juiced kiwi, apples, beets, carrots, Brussels sprouts, bell peppers and parsley. All went through with flying colors and no clogs or slow downs. I dunno what more to say. If you are looking for a juicer and can afford $170, buy it. ![]() Schwinn 460 Variable Stride Elliptical Trainer $1,599.00 Recently, I bought this Schwinn 460 elliptical trainer through Amazon (free shipping on a 240+ lb item - yay!). Unfortunately, I broke it while putting it together. (The instructions say "This step requires two people", which I ignored.) The part that I broke is the interface unit at the top of the trainer. All of the electronics are in there and it is a touch screen. I figured I'd be spending a couple hundred more dollars to replace that. A phone call to their 800 number (with zero wait time), put me in touch with a person who was pleasant, worked in the Nautilus HQ in WA, and very helpful. After I explained what I had done, Debbie had me provide all the info to register the unit so it would be under warranty. She then put in an order to ship me a interface unit and data cable (just in case). It took just over a week. It cost me nothing. I received a confirmation e-mail from her account - not a generic account - and she answered my follow-up question promptly. I'm very pleasantly shocked. I'm also a very happy customer. |
