![]() Treasure (Thorndike Press Large Print Famous Authors Series) $29.95 The one thing I love about Cussler are those beginning chapters, which introuduce us to the general story of the book. They always take place hundreds of years ago and set up the backstory for the rest of the book. This particular book was no different and I really enjoyed that. The Library of Alexandria bit was very interesting. The terrorist plot was fairly good. The location of the treasure was pretty surprising and fun. The politics described were ridiculous and fantasy-like. Pitt's neveredning romances and all the ladies of the world falling for him can get pretty old pretty fast. All in all, this is a pretty entertaining book - not to be taken seriously and it is flawed in some ways, but I recommend it as a fun evening read. ![]() Treasure $11.98 A song cycle of unique abstract beauty and power. Cocteau Twins peaked here with this spine-tingling album. You can't understand what Liz Frazier is singing and it doesn't "make sense" except instinctually. Your instincts will tell you, "more, please!" ![]() Treasure $15.95 Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor recognized author Suzanne Bloom presents Treasure, a rhyming children's picturebook about a polar bear and a goose who discover a map, and dive in search of treasure! Although their hunt proves fruitless, their real treasure lies in their friendship with each other. The blue-and-white palette and the fuzzy, warmhearted illustrations of two best pals add the perfect touch to this charming story. |
