I just used it for a walking tour of high rise lobbies and churches. It includes pictures and descriptions, maps, and it even shows opening times. I got the new one to ensure that I have the latest opening times. If you are interested in the architecture and flavor of various neighborhoods in Manhattan, it's great. It's organized by neighborhood so you can concentrate on one section of the city and pick out what you want to see. You can get a good idea of what you will see from the pictorial maps and photographs. This is a very useful book.
