Excellent book, a refreshing guide to DIY without a broker, lots of lively examples and concrete dollar-for-dollar comparisons. My only caveat is that it is aimed at individuals who have about a million dollars total in their various savings accounts plus a paid-in-full mortgage on an expensive home, or those who are making that kind of money and expect to be in that position. The principles are still sound, but it's a little discouraging for those who scrape and save $10 out of the grocery money.

I will be using this as a cake topper at my wedding. It is a little heavy in terms of cake toppers so our baker will add extra supports in the cake, but that's not a big issue. The veil on the bride is actually a stiff tulle-like material whereas I expected it to be porcelain as well. It was a pleasant surprise though and I think the fabric is a wonderful touch. It will be a keepsake for years to come.
