Ben 10 - The Complete Season 3
Ben 10 - The Complete Season 3

$19.98
This was a gift for my 3-year grandson who seems to love Ben-10, and has made me watch the series with him. Its not "Space Ghost" or "Johnny Quest" that I enjoyed in my younger years, but he seems to enjoy it and like to role play Ben's character too! This is same review for Seasons 1, 2 and 4 as well as Omnitrac.

The two lasting images in this episode are Betty with her new-old Victorian fainting couch with dress to match and Don in a late night reenactment of the noir film NIAGARA, seedy motel and all. Everyone else is good too but maybe it is because everyone back in that time period wanted to BE Betty or Don, that they captivate us so. Everyone continues to jockey for position at Sterling Cooper. Seemingly the order of the day is to just outflank your colleagues at Sterling Cooper. Cooper himself outflanks Draper so that Draper can't leave him high and dry while Peggy tries to do just that--moving out and on, probably with Duck who has all female product clients with another agency. Joan is gone but I really don't believe it. As for Roger Sterling........... uhm..... Roger who?

I see some knucklehead is already throwing out five-star praise for a DVD collection that has not yet been released. As with the yet-to-be-released Season Three Volume One set, I again offer a one-star review as a counter. And again, it all comes back to the music fiasco.

As most everyone concerned knows, the Season Two sets, in one way or another, were bastardized by CBS/Paramount via the removal of the series' original music in exchange for a computerized synthesizer score by some person named Mark Heyes.

The Heyes music ruined the enjoyment for many because it did not fit with the era. Heyes' music was better suited for a straight-to-youtube production. At this point, nobody other than the suits at CBS knows whether Heyes' services were utilized again to continue the ruination of one of the best television series ever created for the Season Three volumes. Until that information is made public, fans of the series who can't stomach watching it with Mark Heyes music are urged to stay away.

If it turns out the Season Three volumes return to Season One standards, i.e. an absence of Heyes and most of the original music intact, I'll gladly remove this one-star review.
