Needless to say, I read it. I expected it to be a dry book about two dead, although very good, writers. But I soon realized that Diana Glyer is an artist herself, and that she analyzes their relationship with each other and other creative writers and applies it to the artistic process itself. As I read, I was inspired and started a composer's group. The benefits which have already been brought to me are worth much more than the small amount of time the book took me to read. I have another book I read every January, and this is the only book in all the books I've read which will be added to that early year reading! Are you creative? Songwriters, poets, composers, writers, painters, sculptors, singers, it doesn't matter. Everyone who wants to be creative in any way (and deep down we all do, no matter our profession, right?) should certainly read this book. Buy it! Read it!
