Superstar composer AR Rahman has created magnificent arrangements with sweeping strings and irresistibly rhythmic beats. This is probably one of AR Rahman's best soundtracks after Lagaan and Rangeela. Ishq Bina and Taal Se Taal Mila provide a wonderful beginning to this album. Kahin Aag Lage and Ramte Jogi are particularly catchy. The singers also do a superb job. Followers of Bollywood will recognize the distinctive voices of Udit Narayan, Sukhwinder Singh, Alka Yagnik, Sonu Nigam, and the legendary Asha Bhosle. Also included are several instrumental tracks and a song that didn't appear on the original soundtrack, Kya Dekh Rahe Ho Tum. If some refrains sound familiar to those who haven't seen the film, it's not deja vu; Rahman borrowed several tunes from the Taal soundtrack for his musical Bombay Dreams.

Not one I listen to that often but I do like this cd. The orchestral accompaniment really takes the music to another level. Some really good songs, some I pass over. On the whole I am glad I purchased this one.
