If you read my headline, you will think me silly. How can school supplies please a toddler? Good grief, I know that's what you are saying! Here's the deal: Cadie has a sister in PreK-4 who colors and writes letters. Cadie thinks she has to color and "write" also. Yes, she does. If Carolina colors, Cadie makes puffy noises to let everyone know she wants to "color" also.

As my mother explained to me, "Cadie doesn't talk much, but she thinks she is a big kid, too." Carolina is getting a school desk from Santa and my job was to get some school thingies to go in it. Mother said, "While you're at it, get Cadie some school things, too, so she can color with Carolina and leave her things alone.

The bottom line is that I found this Hello Kitty School Supplies Set and ordered it for Cadie. It contains two portfolios, one zippered plastic bag, four pencils, a pencil sharpener, a block eraser, a flip memo pad, a composition book, and a ruler. I also bought a box of crayons and a pad of blank paper. (Note: Carolina is getting Disney Princess Super Stationery Set.

Another thing Cadie loves to do is play with purses. She can sit and open and take out things from purses and put them all back in. It's her favorite thing to do. When she knows someone is getting ready to leave, she also loves to get a purse, sling it over her shoulder, and start saying Bye-bye. Yeah, she's a comedian. Again, the school supplies will fit right inside one of her purses that she can take them out and put them back in.

Another thing she loves to do is open my mother's dresser drawers and get things out. One day she came out, not only wearing her purse, but she had put on one of Mother's sports bras. I'm told people fell out on the floor laughing over that one. The wild thing is that she came out of the bedroom laughing herself. She knew she had done a funny!!
