I love the deck format for Bibby Gignilliat's Sumptuous Small Plates. The recipes are easy to follow and the photography makes you want to nibble on the cards. My favorite recipes includes: Fava Bean Hummus, Red Pepper Pomegranate Molasses Dip, Crab Pot Stickers,and White Chocolate and Raspberry Frosted Sugar Cookies. I like how she takes an uncommon approach to somewhat common party foods. There's an insert which gives menu suggestions and entertaining tips.

I've given the deck of 30 cards to friends as housewarming gifts and included them in wedding baskets.
