First of all in case you're wondering this IS basically the same video as Discover China - In Love With China, Stupendous Shanghai #1 (English Version). The titles were similar but the boxes were different a different producer was listed. There are some subtle differences at the beginning and in the menus but the meat of the video is identical.

This is your typical "show video while a guy talks" type of video. The mans voice is a bit excited and "Lifestyles of the rich and famous" like. He does cover some neat stuff like the making of the Shanghai dresses and eating little steamer dumplings. There's a lot of material here but some of it I just fast forward through. He goes into certain restaurants and businesses in depth. Instead of being a video aimed at tourists it seems like it's a video aimed at the couch potato interested in going somewhere but never does (again Lifestyles of the rich and famous comes to mine).

I bought both videos listed above just because I'm gathering all info on China that I can but I've not been compelled to watch Stupendous Shanghai more than once.

It's definately not a travel video but I did pick up a few things that I didn't know before.

Oh and Stupendous Shanghai number 1 is definately better than the sequel!

I guess if I were to buy either I'd buy this one over Stupendous Shanghai because it's a couple of bucks cheaper..
