![]() Roku N1100 HD Media Player $99.99 First the bad news - ordered on 11/10, didn't reach me in MA until 11/25. More frustrating was a FedEx tracking number which promised 'delivery' on 11/20. It turns out that 'delivery' means the package goes from FedEx to the USPS. Maybe they saved a buck, but 15 day delivery is unacceptable. Now the good news. The Roku box installed, as the instructions promised, in three minutes. Works well in wireless mode, no delays or pixelation. Delivers 720P resolution, which is just fine for an online streaming service. Terrific convenience. Already streamed Corpse Bride (cute) for the granddaughter. Plenty of choices in the Netflix Instant Watching category for my needs. Cable movie channels are useless to us. Who wants to try to match your schedule with that of the cable 'premium' channels? Next step is to cancel all of the cable movie channels, which will more than pay for the Roku box and Netflix service. I'm a little concerned about other posts which mention poor reliability of the Roku box coupled with poor customer service. Let's hope that this one keeps working. ![]() Blitzen Trapper $16.99 When a young band meanders musical terrain at will, often times they sound lost or searching. But Blitzen Trapper's well-informed pull on multiple sonic seams never tears apart the band's performance at The Mercury Lounge. This product is manufactured on demand using DVD-R recordable media. Amazon.com's standard return policy will apply. ![]() D-Link DSM-320 Wireless Media Player, Audio/Photo/Video, 802.11g $188.99 Dlink operating systems are very bad, they seem to be developed by complicated designers and programmers, always a lot of bugs so you need new firmware to avoid half of the bugs. They devices work but you need a lot of hours dedicated to understand their OS. So if you are not an IT expert, do not buy them. |
