![]() Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy $18.98 Frankenstien Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy is one of the most ORIGINAL albums I've heard in my life up until this point. MSI almost create thier own genre of witty, subversive lyrics mixed with insane jungle-electronica spasms and whirring guitars that actually make for a hard listen at first. When I first heard this album, I had nothing else to compare it to. But that's a good thing. This album, for me, was a grower. To understand MSI (and this album) you need to understand thier demeanor. MSI strive to innovate, they're not content with making 3 minute ballads. From seemingly "pointless" skits such as "I'm your problem now", to tracks they still play today like "Bitches", the album is very diverse and above all, ENTERTAINING. MSI don't make songs about break ups or emotions, so don't expect anything straightforward or generic. Don't even expect half of it to make sense. Don't expect to be able to put a genre on it, other than "Industrial-Jungle-Pussy-Punk". Before you listen: MSI don't take themselves too seriously. It's ok to have FUN with music, and not follow any kind of template. They want you to think for yourselves, interpret the lyrics with a sense of individuality, and have fun dancing to the music. At least, that's the impression I get. Buy this album, buy it buy it buy it. Then buy Tight. Then make fun of "how mainstream" they've gotten. ![]() A Strangely Isolated Place $13.98 Schnauss effectively works a rare synthesized electronica consisting of equal parts Boards of Canada mystique, M83 sheen, and Moby danceability. His sophomore is a tight set of beautiful work, steeped in patterned accessibility but keenly produced and emotionally engaging enough to add extra dimension. ![]() Historic Print (S): Genl.
