![]() Playskool Cherry Blossom Market $69.99 This is a cute place for my children to play "store". It took some time to set up but it was worth it. I do have to say, I would have have paid full MSRP for this product, but with the deal I got on Amazon, I am satisfied. ![]() Signs at the Store (Welcome Books: Signs in My World) $4.95 Another great Welcome Book -- teaches real life experiences in a child's community. The simple sentences and real people photographs are great for teaching students with special needs. It also teaches basic vocabulary words. ![]() Learning Resources Pretend & Play Snack Shop $39.99 The Learning Resources Pretend & Play Snack Shop is a unique toy that was well conceived and designed. Younger children (under 10 years) have the opportunity to set up the table top store with miniature snacks (muffins, ice cream and more) and then 'sell' it using play money. My grandchildren played with this for hours and then asked grandpa to get a large refrigerator box so that they could 'expand' their store. The Snack Shop comes folded up and is put together with very little effort- then can be stored in the original small flat box. Children reinforce their manners, sorting skills, money handling skills, making good choices skills and much more - plus it is fun and different every time you are the customer or the store owner. I recommend this compact toy because it can go anywhere and engages the children in beneficial pretend play. ![]() Store Front: The Disappearing Face of New York $65.00 This book shows my New York as it was. Pre Disneyfing of Times Square and the destruction of neighborhoods by the national chains with their steel and glass fronts. A must have book for old school New Yorkers and preservationists. Beautifully printed on poster stock paper. I wish I had the photographic eye of these photographers. HGF, NYC |
