![]() Star Wars: The Complete Visual Dictionary - The Ultimate Guide to Characters and Creatures from the Entire Star Wars Saga $40.00 I have to buy this book again because the first book is falling apart. The boys ages 6 and 8 read the book so much that it is literally now in 4 pieces. ![]() Star Wars Prequel Trilogy $49.98 I love the original Star Wars trilogy. It represented everything great about movies that was possible. These prequals made me sick. Beyond annoying characters such as the cheezy battle droids running around saying dumb phrases like"roger, roger,",Jar Jar Binx and the gungans(No explanation needed),Hadyn Christiansen who is worse than a horrible actor, and scripts and an atmosphere that made you feel like you were not watching a Star Wars movie. And to top it off the second movie is about as bad as any chick flick out there. How could they possibly sink this low with a love story this poorly done with worse than high school acting. A Star Wars chick flick? YUCK! Nothing new or revolutionary came from these movies. What good things people had to say about the special effects looked like a video game. Especially the ship battles. The original Star Wars film in 1977 looks a million times more realistic and is timeless. I really hate these movies because I love Star Wars and these are not even close to being Star Wars movies! ![]() Star Wars Battlefront II $19.99 I own the PS2 version and I bought this so that I could play SWB2 on the go. I was wrong. The controls sucked; I could never remember the buttons. (Maybe there was a better control scheme option available, but I always use default on EVERYTHING.) There was little over half of the maps that the PS2 version had. I understand that a UMD can only hold so much, but seriously! The SPECIAL MISSIONS exclusively for PSP: easier than pie! I could almost do it blindfolded! These could be taken out and add in some more maps maybe. Space was even more of a hassle; with less buttons than the PS2 controller I could not remember the difference between landing and primary cannons! I simply did not like this game. One more thing: Good luck getting all the medals! I recommend getting SWB: Renegade Squadron instead. The multiplayer option is awesome! ![]() Star Wars Clone Wars Turbo Tank Vehicle $119.99 My sons are big fans of Star Wars. This item was seen (and played with) in a store and quickly added to their Amazon Wish Lists. This is a large vehicle that includes several cool features. My only complaint is that for the price, more then just one clone trooper should have been included. What's the point of storming the enemy with just one guy? You will need to purchase additional troopers to make it more fun and individual clone troopers are available at a hefty price (and rising fast). There is also a barc speeder as an additional vehicle. My sons were not impressed with it when placed alongside the massive tank-like vehicle. The back flips open to reveal plenty of storage and a place to hide your clone trooper army (says it holds 20 figures). The wheels are sturdy enough and it held up well under rough play by a group of young boys. However, I am not so sure about the longevity of the attachments that stick out on top. There is a gunner that shoots out missiles (they appear to be the same weapons from other Star Wars sets which is nice). The vehicle emits sounds from the Clone Wars and I'm thinking the three batteries needed are not included. My sons are very anxious to see this toy under the tree. My husband wouldn't mind seeing it either.... |
