![]() Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Unleashed $64.99 This book is a laundry list of features and how to implement them - not the place to go if you're looking for best practices or even the best choice among a few options. For that use something like Professional SQL Server 2005 Performance Tuning (Programmer to Programmer). ![]() Mastering SQLServer 2000 $49.99 As I've found to be true for most of the Mastering series of technical publications, the Mastering SQL Server 2000 was outstanding. Especially good for a technically adept IT professional looking for an introduction to the intracacies of SQL Server. ![]() JDBC Pocket Reference $9.95 A friendly and well-written book recommended for anyone ready to learn JDBC. This JDBC Pocket Reference well-written and well-organized introduction to the JDBC. It uses a careful, example-based, easy to understand approach. Contains many examples and other useful information. Thank you ![]() Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Administration with Windows PowerShell (Wrox Programmer to Programmer) $59.99 I read this book, and I keep it handy because it is a great reference guide. This book not only gives you real world solutions, but it goes through the theories. Anyone working in the IT field knows that theories are what we use to solve problems, not every solutions works. This book has given me some ideas on how to better monitor, and build servers, and I know that this can be used to help out DBA's when they get stumped. I recommend buying this book and using it as reference at the very least, but if you read it in its entirety you will not regret it. |
