![]() The Greatest Speeches of All-Time Box Set $29.99 I teach an introductory public speaking course at a local university and start each class with a speech from one of these DVDs. They're wonderful examples of great public speaking and, I hope, an inspiration to my students. For anyone who appreciates history and major political figures, this is a terrific collection to own. ![]() Great Speeches of the 20th Century $39.98 It was what I needed for my high school public speaking class. The students are able to listen to great speeches. This way they had a reference to what makes an excellent speech. ![]() The Standard Deviants - Learn Public Speaking $19.98 All of the Standard Deviant stuff is good but is very fast-paced so it is not introductory material but review. The video is packed with great information but you almost have to stop it ever few minutes to take notes because you are so overwhelmed by all they present. I'd rather do that than not have any meaningful content though. ![]() How to Write and Give a Speech, Second Revised Edition: A Practical Guide For Executives, PR People, the Military, Fund-Raisers, Politicians, Educators, and Anyone Who Has to Make Every Word Count $14.95 I'm sure there's a better book on giving speeches but this one was so good that I'm not interested in looking for it. This book was simple enough for anyone to read and get something out of it yet detailed enough to help you complete and polish a great speech. |
