![]() Altec Lansing iM-237 Orbit Ultraportable Speaker for MP3 Players (Silver) $39.95 Pretty good for the size, and good battery lifetime. I use it mainly for listening to audio books in a car with no sound system (more exactly, one so old it is beyond help). The Landsing hangs by its biner from the cup holder, and I plug in a Palm Treo, and audio books from Audible come up loud and clear even at freeway speeds. I've had it about a month and the first set of AA batteries are still chugging away. It clips the sound a little at the volume needed on the freeway, but still acceptable. If it were 25% bigger diameter to give that bit more power so it didn't clip, it would get five stars, but it's still pretty satisfactory, so four stars it is. ![]() Altec Lansing VS2621 2.1 Channel Speaker System $49.95 This is my third set of Altec Lansing 2.1 computer speakers. Previous sets I've owned offered deeper bass and produced more sound without distortion. Though this set is a few dollars cheaper than sets I've owned previously ($50 vs. $75), I expected more sound and deeper bass, based on reviews found here at Amazon. It isn't a bad set of speakers, they are merely mediocre. I recommend shelling out a few extra dollars for the Altec Lansing VS4121 set if you're looking for bass and volume. ![]() Sony SS-B3000 Bookshelf Speakers with 8" Woofer (Pair) $140.00 Great sound-I currently own speakers that are much larger with a lot less quality. I currently own 2 sets of these speakers. ![]() Logitech LS21 2.1 Stereo Speaker System $29.99 Works great for being computer speakers! Great for dorm rooms beacause it has an easy volume control for turning down as RA's come around during quiet hours. Subwoofer adds to 'coolness.' Nothing to complain about currently. Price matches product. |
