 A Smart Girl's Guide to Sticky Situations: How to Tackle Tricky, Icky Problems and Tough Times. (American Girl) $9.95 It would be helpful if this "self-help" type book had a suggested age range. I had assumed that since it was from American Girl it would be appropriate for a nine year old but discovered that some of the material was inappropriate for younger than teenage girls.  Sticky Situations: 365 Devotions for Kids and Families $14.99 This book will get your kids thinking about the right way to respond to any situation they might face. It stresses doing the right thing, having good attitudes and making right, Godly decisions. It has a situation for every day of the year with a multiple choice question to get your kids thinking about what is the right way to respond. It also has an area in the back to expand on each devotional and gives a scripture to back up the reason for the correct answer. Great book for school aged children!  Situation $7.49 Situation was B-Side single released by Yaz(oo) in the early '80s and this mix, while weak in someways by today's standards of overdubbed club thumbing and tribal traditions, is a testament to the first generation of non-computer mixes when things were done old school with tape and signal. It is a good addition to the collection, especially for those without the Live at the BBC version which this remix was based on. |
