![]() Tactical Pistol Marksmanship: How to Improve Your Combat Shooting Skills $20.00 I've read most of the author's other texts, but skipped his basic pistol manual for this one, based on reviews here. As a stand-alone text on pistol shooting for self-defense and military applications (my only experience is in these two areas, as opposed to LE) it's actually very good. I like that the author doesn't just gloss over tactical movement, firing positions, close quarters combat, and malfunctions. And I like that he provides drills for for smoothing out rough spots in weapon presentation and combat accuracy. It may be just a little on the basic side, but it is definitely solid material and I found nothing to disagree with. Something else to mention, he does not stress 'both eyes open' and though I use this method on all three weapons (pistol, carbine, shotgun), I can appreciate that he does not present it as a MUST for new combat shooters. I also like that he includes a bit on clearing tactics in each of his books. I have his manual on tactics, myself, and it is also very good. But if someone bought only this book, or only his shotgun text, they'd still get a small dose of his CQB/AO tactics and that's another very good thing. Whether you like the guy personally or not, IMHO this text along with Erik Lawrence's provides a solid foundation for defensive handgun for the new shooter. ![]() Remington T-72 Shooting Glasses (Clear Anti-Fog Lens) $4.92 I actually use them for bowling at this time. They cut down the glare that used to bother me while I bowled. Since I have worn them, my average has increased 20 pins!!! ![]() Frontier Quick Draw Electronic Target Shooting Set $29.99 The product is as advertised, but even better than shown in the photo. The "log" comes with spots for four cans and bottles to be placed and with two bottles and two cans. From the photo, I thought it would only be two. Aim is almost "true", but not quite. Need to aim low to hit the marks. Gun is fairly realistic looking and large, and made of plastic. Makes shooting and ricochet noise when trigger is pulled. Lots of fun. Big hit with 4 (and 41) year old boy(s). ![]() Stoney Point Standard Rear Shooting Bag $21.95 I was looking for the Caldwell bag to match my Caldwell Rock but settled on this bag instead. I was pleasantly surprised with the design, size, weight, and quality of this bag. I highly recommend it to anyone for sighting-in or bench practice. Would buy again, and probably chose it over the Caldwell. |
