I was leery of buying/using block shave cream for the 1st time. I was pleasantly surprised. It shaves as well as the canned stuff, with the triple-edged razors.
I was worried about paying so much for a little block of glycerin, but, believe me, one block will probably last 6 months. It lathers quickly, goes on well, and washes off easily.
It is ecologically sound, because you are not using cans with foamy water. Less weight to carry home form the store. Creates no significant garbage.
Some times the old is better.
Wish I had learned about this stuff earlier. The only reason that I didn't give it a 5, is because I have not used others to compare it with

The foil on this shaver broke the 1st time I used it. I wound up getting cut. It's now completely useless. I didn't get a single shave out of this shaver.

What a difference a good shave makes! This badger hair brush lathers well and is kind to the face. I wish I'd got one of these years ago. And it hasn't shed at all. Hang it upside down or rest it on its side to dry and it remains fluffy. Good product and worth the few dollars more.
