![]() The Clapper Plus Sound Activated On/Off Switch, 1 Each $27.35 I received the item brand new in a box and neither feature worked, the clapping part and the remote control. Stay far away from this piece of junk. ![]() ZORBEEZ CLOTHS $12.75 These are awful. They appear to be basic cheap felt, and they operate accordingly. The do soak up some liquid, but not nearly as much as advertised. It makes little to no difference whether you start them wet or dry. When you try to wash them, they crumble and shrink. You don't even want to touch them anymore. I was so diappointed with these. I recommend buying Zwipes Microfiber 36-Pack of Cleaning Cloths instead. They may not soak up a fish tank full of water, but at least you can use them over and over again instead of once or twice. Then you can really cut back on your paper towels. ![]() Above All Co. L74995CN Forearm Forklift Lifting Straps $40.00 This simple 3-inch width pair of straps really works. Now you can move large and heavy objects that before you cannot imagine you can move at all. It will do wonders as long as you follow the correct instruction, AND safety precaution. It is best to lay the straps criss-cross (one end of the to your right hand and the other end to the opposing person's right hand). To use it, you wear the strap just below the elbows. Once the object is properly secured, you lift by using your legs; just like what a weightlifter does on a clean and jerk. The technique here is where to place yours and your partner's hands. Positioning the hands makes all the difference. You have to make sure the object being lifted is well balanced and make sure that you can control it when the weight shifts either from left to right and right to left as you transport and start walking. Teamwork is a must. This package does not come with a free gloves as some of the early offers. It comes with a single page instruction. It has 3 pairs of holes to insert your arms - 3 pairs of holes in 3 different location so you can pick which one that suits your height or to adjust the length of the strap depending on the size of the object to be lifted. The holes are nicely padded with black felt to protect your arms. China made. The hard part is setting up the straps underneath the object. It is much easier if the object has feet and space underneath to slip the straps. You can use the feet to hold the straps in place and prevent from slipping. It is more difficult if the heavy object is flat on the floor where you need to lift it first to place the straps underneath. We have never tried it on stairs yet, but depending on the situation, I can imagine it may or may not work. ![]() Snuggie Leopard $14.99 i felt the fabric of this at a local store and it was THIN and awful. about a week ago, i saw the Snuggie made out of deluxe, soft fabric at a costco and the fabric was dreamy and soft. i laughed at myself with a Snuggie in my cart as i went to checkout (why? we've joked them on TV for months!!). Anyway, it's now the most fought over item in the house adn i need to get more! warning--when i pulled the Snuggie out of the packaging my first thoughts were: "THIS is stupid. It's going back. It's swallowing me an looks like an XL cut-in-half robe." Then, i put it on properly, got in TV watching position on the couch, and grinned for an hour! it's sooo comfy and warm because it stays up around your neck and chest to keep you cozy. so, overall...the once-laughed at Snuggie (or "the SACK" if your kids watch iCarly and saw their version...) is a must-have at our house. Spend the extra $5 and get the soft, thick one! |
