The Script
The Script

$9.98
I had seen and heard The Script on VH1, and recently saw them live in Atlanta on tour with David Cook and GRO. The Script put on a great show. After the concert, I came home to listen to some of their songs (minus the screaming crowd), and loved them so much, I bought the album. As a Kris Allen fan, I was even more intrigued that The Script had written two songs on his new album. I confess that I am from the old school who likes a good melody, intricate lyrics (more verse than chorus), and good vocals that don't sound like a cat fight or a murder in progress. There's only one song on this album that doesn't fit that description, so The Script has just found a new fan!

The Chameleons, from Manchester, England, were nearly in the same league as Echo & the Bunnymen and The Teardrop Explodes, from nearby Liverpool.
"Script of the Bridge" is, perhaps, The Chameleons best album. If you like it, be sure to check out "Crocodiles" and "Heaven Up Here" by Echo & the Bunnymen, as those albums have a similar neo-psychedelic sound.

I bought this for my husband and he enjoyed it more than he thought he would. He especially appreciated what Stephen King had to say.
We Cry
We Cry

$10.99
We saw this band on television while in London, England summer 2008 and we thought they were really good so we bought the cd while waiting at Heathrow for the flight home... Boy, are we ever glad we did!! This is one of the best cds we have heard in long time. So many styles, such versatility and each done very successfully. There is a sound here that i think we'll be hearing more of. They are R&B, hip-hop, soul, pop, rock, there is even one song ( Rusty Halo) that i am sure when Sting hears it he'll wish he'd written it himself... there is also a beautiful ballad at the end ( I'm Yours) which will most likely get loads of airplay once people notice it. We look forward to seeing this band when they come to this part of the world and we are sure they will soon. They have a winner combination of lyrics and styles that will set them head and shoulders above the crowd. Well done boys!! Keep em comin'!!
p.s. it doesn't hurt that they have great voices as well as writing talent!! Plus we found the videos really well-done...
