![]() Epson Duet 80-Inch Dual Aspect Ratio Projection Screen, Portable 4:3 and 16:9 Aspect Ratio Screen (ELPSC80) $157.23 I bought this for teaching and because it said it was portable I got it; it is portable but it is on the heavy side, for this I gave it TWO ** stars for "portability" Overall nice screen but best if left in the home for a home theater system ![]() 3-Panel Black Wood Shoji Screen / Room Divider $74.99 Gorgeous shoji screen for the price. Shipping was a bit pricey, but the actual product is not usually found for such a steal. It looks great in our living room (which has slowly evolved into a more Asian-based theme). The packaging was great on this item - received in excellent condition. ![]() 100IN Diagonal Accuscreens HDtv Manual Wall Ceiling 49X87IN $160.00 I had been toying with the idea of building my own screen for my projector for a few months. I began pricing materials for different builds and came to the following conclusion, it was cheaper to buy this screen than to build my own. Granted, this screen is a manual pull-down and not the fixed frame that I was getting if I built it but, for the value, the picture is gorgeous. The only cheaper solution would be simply painting your wall with one of a few special mixes that can be found online. I was unable to go that route due to having plaster walls in my basement (100 year old home.) This screen worked out perfectly, I was able to mount it into the floor joists in the ceiling, which have no problem supporting the 28lbs that the screen weighs. As someone mentioned the length from hanger to hanger is 94", so just a touch shy of 8 feet wide. This is exactly what I was wanting at 100" diagonal. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap but very effective screen for the projector. Some others had mentioned the "smell" of the screen and I will agree that it is definitely present however, after about 3 days there is no trace of smell at all. I would compare it to a bag of salt and vinegar potato chips, that is about what it smells like, not overwhelming by any means. I was able to watch the recent UFC fights on it this pass Saturday and the look on people's faces was worth it. My five year old niece loves watching her movies on the screen and the colors really pop off of the white material. It may not be a top of the line screen but it is more than enough for my theater! The only thing I wish is that the actual metal housing for the screen was black instead of white but, this will be easily remedied by installing a 2x10 to act as a sort of valance to cover the housing. Overall I couldn't be happier with the purchase, and would encourage any one who is on the fence about constructing their own screen to price the materials and factor in labor and try to justify the work. Not to mention this is made by Draper, who is no slouch when it comes to home theater screens. ![]() 3-Panel Flower Design Wood Shoji Screen / Room Divider $84.99 The screen fell over on its own in less than a day and was damaged. These screens are attractive and a great value, but are not at all durable. |
