Although this scanner has been working on my PC, I am a Mac user running Snow Leopard (10.6.2).
However, on the PC it comes with about 5-6 different confusing pieces of terribly interfaced software that make scanning anything very difficult.
It's also fairly slow, clunky, and noisy when it scans.
The results of the scan are about what I expected concerning image quallity.

Upon buying this device, they claimed it worked on "Mac OS X" - but failed to state the version anywhere.
Seeing that Mustek offered compatibility the latest version of Windows, I assumed the same status for the Mac users.
I should have done a better job reading into Mac user forums, as almost everyone online couldn't get this thing to work on their Mac.
After several attempts at trying to directly contact Mustek, they never even acknowledged any of my questions and complaints.
It wasn't until the end of January (three weeks ago) that a 10.6 OS X driver was released (I found by checking back periodically - Mustek never sent any notification.
After installing the new driver, I still get no response from the scanner or the computer when I plug it into the back of my iMac.

When I saw the size and price of the scanner, I was excited, but I've found that in this case you truly get what you pay for.
For anyone that wants a hassle-free scanning experience, I'd recommend saving your cash and skipping this one.

Great pan! I have used at home and at the restaurant. It can take the heat in the oven and nothing sticks to it. Easy to clean too. I can use metal utensils and it still won't scratch.

I had recently gotten another scanner on Amazon for about $29 that was non CAN and that did the job very effectively, but when this particular scanner went on sale for about $23 I jumped on it, because I would like to be able to scan friends' newer vehicles as needed. In addition to scanning codes, it also checks the readiness monitors of things such as the catalytic converter and a/f sensors, something you would normally get on a much more expensive Actron pocketscan. By far, the best value at the price for a simple OBD2 reader.
