Indeed! Rumbauskas' book is an excellent resource for someone who is looking to expand their marketing efforts via the power of the web. It is most useful for those selling "products"; for those of us selling "services" (I'm a marketing/branding consultant) it is still extremely worthwhile. One of the things I like best about the book is the author's pragmatic perspective: he's tried and tested (literally!) many different approaches, and he tells you point-blank what works and why. This is great hands-on/step-by-step stuff, so calling it a "playbook" is a perfect description- - this is a book that you USE, and use NOW; it's not a rah-rah book of strategies or theories. It's full of battle-tested tactics, which I appreciated; I am just getting started implementing them after reading the book this week. Incidentally, throughout the book Rambauskas continually refers you to his website. While this can be distracting, he seems to be doing so with the intent of providing you with the most up-to-the-minute information; in my opinion, to remain relevant a book with so much practical online content must do something like this or it would be frustratingly out-of-date even before it was published.
