I picked this book up at a drug store of all places on discount, when purchasing I thought it would be a dud but for the price I could not go wrong. Well I was wrong, this was one of my most enjoyable reads of 2009! Robert B Parker brings the characters alive in Appaloosa, a wonderful surprise!

The book reviewed this western in comparison to Larry McMurtry's westerns. Mistake. Dialogue is lean and clipped and can't compare to McMurtry's tales of the west. It was an easy fast read but I think I'll stick to his other books rather than venture into his westerns. The plot was fairly easy to follow but didn't leave me thinking about the upcoming western . . .

Andy Timmons is more than just a virtuoso guitar player. He is a great musician and composer. And this record is one of the best to come out in recent years. His writing is superb. His playing is just perfect for each song. Andy does not play just to show his ability. He definitely has the ability to play very fast. But he is a very mature musicians who understand that virtuosism should not get in the way of creating art. And this records is just art, one of the best you can get. Very lyrical and melodic, with nice harmonies, not just catchy riffs. I personally grew up listening to Pink Floyd, David Gilmour, Eric Clapton, Pat Metheny, B. B. King, Jimi Hendrix. Then I discovered Steve Vai and the others. For me, Andy Timmons is at the top of that list. With Andy, you don't get just albums full of notes that make no sense. You'll get high quality songs. Andy is a great musician and composer. He just happens to be also a guitar player, but he could have excelled in any other instrument as well because he has a very strong foundation of all aspects of music and harmony. Thanks to Steve Vai and his work with Favored Nations in discovering this great artist.

Just got it today. Works very good outside with great detail and rich colors. Inside with daylight or bright lights works fine also. With low room light (one ceiling light burning and night outside) the picture is rather grainy, but still serves its purpose. Sound is very clear, with a very slight hiss. Button control takes some getting used to. On mine seems like one press on (blue light), one press video (red, then a short press starts recording (red light blinks). Holding the button down from 3-4 seconds cuts it off. I accidently took some still pics also. Getting the date/time set worked out per instructions. Mine did not come with a CD but pen seems to download all needed drivers to work. Great deal, going to buy 2 more..
