![]() Reflect and Relate: An Introduction to Interpersonal Communication $69.00 Having spent two weeks in an accelerated course with this book as a guide I can easily say it was one of the biggest wastes of my time and money. This review is centered on the book's quality not how well Amazon did in delivering it. The book itself is very basic and focused towards people who don't know what "anger" or "betrayal" or "catharsis" is. For those of you who don't know, anger is what you will feel when you realized you purchased a grade-school textbook on what a "crush" is, betrayal is what you'll feel once your campus bookstore won't pay you more than 10 percent of the textbook's face value as a buy-back and catharsis is what you'll feel when you light this book on fire so that you can get some use out of it as fuel. Boring, shallow and at times insulting to a college student's grasp on greater reality. If your prof recommends this book, run. ![]() Relax, Relate, Release $16.98 Another good bunch of songs from the Artifacts man. Tracks such as "Summer time bluez" and "Questions and answers" can be considered excellent songs with summertime bluez bordering on a classic. The album's theme looks at how hip hop has gone down hill and reminisces on the good ol' days. It carries on El da sensei's view that he's never got enough credit from his work which I would agree. Questions and answers is a brilliant example of this. A very chilled fresh natural sound this is a good rendition from El, but lacks the true brilliance of tracks such as "the music", "bumrush" and "brick city kids" with previous collabos. Buy it and you'll be impressed if you like underground hip hop. |
