I took a chance on this product and found it very insightful and user friendly. I was actually trying to order the Africana series but my research indicated that the third edition of Africana was located on this platform. Kudos to Microsoft for combining a single source comprehensive management system for historical data. As for the individual who complained that there was far too much African / African American data, perhaps you fail to understand what Microsoft was trying to achieve in its endeavor (and a very successful one I might add) to merge various sources and components of history under one foundation. From my perspective as an historical researcher, there can never be too much data in my quest for information. 5 Stars for this product!

Excellent product and easy to use. I used it with my Nad Amp and CD - Platinum Studio Speakers configuration. After placing the speakers using the corresponding track and playing the burning track, the sound and imaging were really improved. This is a must have for any serious audiophile.

The ear can not hear over 25-30KHz, therefore 60-70KHz would be ideal. Unfortunately there is no 65KHz standard, but 88.2KHz or even 96KHz is not too far from the optimal rate. 192KHz is way off the mark. It brings about higher distortions, bigger data files, increased processing costs, and all that for no up side! People that think that more samples are better, and that digital is only an approximation, do not understand the fundamentals of digital audio.
