I needed a stopwatch that would do timing of long intervals; specifically about 300 hours. There is nothing on the market that times for that longt, but the Seiko, with its 100 hour timer, does the job, as you just need to keep track of roughly what day and date the 300 hours will be up, and then wait for the 300 hours to be over.

Not advertised in the the material that I saw were the available dual 100 hour countdown timers, these let you set up two timers to whatever coutdown peridod you want, and when started timer number 1 counts down, and when it reach3es 0, timer number 2 starts to count down. You can set up how many such cycles you want, at he end of which the process stops, and there is a counter that indicates how many timer cycles have happened. Given my need to count down 300 hours, with interuptions, I just set up both counters to 100 hours, and for three cycles, which gives me my 300 hours. A stop/start function hnadles the time I do not wish to count.

Also included is a watch function, with day, day of the week, month and year functions. Over about a month of running, this has been accruate to about 2 seconds, checked against a clock that resets itself daily based on the atomic clock broadcast from Ft. Collins, Colorado.

If you need a long interval timer/stopwatch, this does the job. It's not cheap, but it is of high quality.
