I give these a 3 because the ankle area of the these boots are narrow and if your legs and feet swell like mine (as they don't stretch) don't buy. My left leg is bigger than the right and I also have to buy a bigger sized shoe anyway because of this. I can get them on though and I have to say that I like the fact that they keep my feet warm and the added sole is a plus because I hate the soft sole boots because they get wet if you walk on a wet floor/ground surface. The fabric is thick and feels soft.
