Real-Time Cameras
Real-Time Cameras

$59.95
The control of cameras is as important in games as it is in cinema. How the camera tracks and moves determines our point of view and influences our attitude towards the content. A poorly designed camera system in a game can disrupt a users experience, while a well-designed one can make a good game into a great one. The challenge in games is that the camera must respond to unscripted events, and this is where much of the difficulty of designing real-time camera systems arises. The increasing use of motion in virtual environments, marked by the inclusion of physics modeling and complex collision detection systems, means that camera systems must be even more effective to keep up. Real-Time Cameras is written by an experienced game developer who has written camera control systems for award-winning games such as Metroid Prime. Mark Haigh-Hutchinson discusses the key algorithms for camera control and then shows how to implement them in code. This book is written for game developers and designers, although it is also pertinent to other professionals in the interactive media field. Real-Time Cameras presents a practical approach to camera systems, introducing their theory, design, and implementation.

* The first book on this critical and often poorly understood aspect of game development
* Includes analysis of camera and control systems from existing games along with practical implementation advice
* Discusses the key algorithms with pseudo code examples, and includes movies demonstrating camera technique on the companion CD-ROM

Once a year or so I'll reinstall this game and play through it again. It's pretty much flawless. Really great plot, fantastic music and voice-acting (I love the chatter). Challenging and fun.

Let me start by saying that Limi-T 21 is one of the most prestigious bands to have withstand-ed the storms of reggae ton and other genres as of late. This Puerto Rican Trio can make a quadriplegic, stand up and shake his bombom anytime any day!
The WOW!!!- This Trio just plain Rocks and the excellent musician's backing them up will not let you down. The Medleys are incredible. They are so good they will take you back in time and bring you nice memories. the featured artists add spice to the whole combination. The sequence of events is solid and the music chosen is very good. Good energy throughout the whole event.

The "DAMN"!!! -- First off, and to the makers of this production, you really messed up with the amount of compression added to the visuals. Upon inspection of the type of Layering this DVD has, it turns out to be single layer DVD, which could pushed me to the conclusion that the amount of compression was due to reduction in costs. there are Artifacts everywhere and even the untrained eye can see them. The Audio is very good however, Dynamic range could be compromised due to the amount of compression. Another thing that is very annoying is the "skips" or "Gaps" in the middle of tracks. This is a concert and concerts at times included things that can be little related to music. The Producers of this DVD decided to cut all That "in-Between" footage and when it skips, suddenly you find yourself lost. Not a good thing!!! And last, Not all tracks are live! So if you can live with this then this DVD is for you...
