 Sodom Had No Bible $11.99 If you have studied Ravenhill extensively, than you have probably heard all of what he has presented here. As has been his style (and many others), a lot of what they preach is from found in their books, or to say it the other way, a lot of what's in their books is found in their preaching. So if you've listened to him a lot, the ground covered here won't be new. I read this book, out of his 5 main ones (Why Revival Tarries, Revival Praying, Revival God's Way, America's Too Young to Die, and this one), last. There are a few good underlines, but it's nowhere near his other works their first time through. What is of note is in the back of the book he gives little mini biographies of revivalists throughout history. These were very insightful as he pulls out some lesser known facts about these historical figures. So if you haven't read any Ravenhill, this would be a good place to start because his provocative preaching and writing will definitely challenge you. He speaks with authority and is passionate to see the Church operating today as it did in the first century. He has a genuine desire for holiness, seeking the presence of God, revival, and prayer. If you are familiar with Leonard, then you know all this man's heart already, and won't glean too much fresh insight, save for the biography section.  Revival God's Way: A Message for the Church $11.99 This book is awesome reading for anyone interested in seeing God move across our land in true revival. Not with gold dust and feathers but with a move of God such as in "the Great Awakening" or "The Welsh Revival" that will change the whole culture and society that we live in. !!!  Why Revival Tarries $12.99 Why Revival Tarries by Leonard Ravenhill Ravenhill knew how to write and was passionate about God and revival - this is one of, i think, seven books that he wrote about revival and they are all equally good and worth the read, though inevitably there is some overlap. As in all books he is straight to the point and has a clever way with words with rhyming sentences - not poetry, but important phrases that make you reflect on what is written. The book is a clarion call to the Church. WAKE UP SLEEPY CHURCH AND ARISE and focuses largely on prayer. |
