![]() Absolute Beginner's Guide to Project Management (2nd Edition) $29.99 I bought that book for my college class which is an introductory class to project management. The book is very easy to read, you finish a chapter in no time. I think it gives you a good first impression about the topics that are relevant in that field but it's still only an introduction. It's really simple and most things seem pretty trivial to you. However, the author seems to really identify with the reader, he doesn't lecture and doesn't stick to technical terms but makes it fun to read. If you're looking for a book that will give you only a sense / an idea about what project management is like; buy this one. However if you're looking for something more substantial, you might reconsider buying it. ![]() A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge: (Pmbok Guide) $65.95 This book has become the "Bible" for people preparing for the PMP Exam. It has been helpful as I get ready for the exam. Our study group uses it and has found great value in the book. ![]() Project Management: A Systems Approach to Planning, Scheduling, and Controlling $99.00 No doubt, this is a classic book on project management. May be this is why at places it gets too academic and some times gets into too much details that a beginner can get lost into them. However, there is enough information in this book and very useful information about project management. I agree with another reviewer that don't try to fit it with the PMBOK guide, because it will not. It is a very usefull book in the overall body of project management knowledge. ![]() Project Management with MS Project CD + Student CD (McGraw-Hill/Irwin Series Operations and Decision Sciences) $101.50 The book was delivered earlier than expected. The condition of the book was right on what the seller had published. The required CD was found in the book and worked with no issues. I do plan on buying from this sell in the future. |
