![]() The Girlfriends' Guide to Pregnancy $15.00 I found almost no redeeming qualities in this book. I really wanted to like it too, a fun guide with practical information. It's a was a waste of time and money. This book is about as funny as the Mayo's Guide to Pregnancy. It was not helpful. It made me worry that I was having a miscarriage because it parrots old wives' tales. It tells you to do (and not do) so many things, but with no reason why. It tells you to do many things that are counter-indicated in pregnancy according to everything else I've read. Then she discourages you from exercising. Before someone jumps on me, she does recommend walking. She recommends giving into your unhealthy urges, binging on cookies, etc. I recognize that you need to do that sometimes, but most of my pregnant girlfriends didn't need encouragement. Every other book I've read so far has been more helpful and calming than this. ![]() Early-Detection Pregnancy Tests: Pack of 5 Tests $2.85 This is so cheap that you wont regret using strip after strip. After one week late on my period, i took a test last Saturday. But I got a -ve and just trash it away. Then I read a review about faint line some users got after a while. So I pick it up from the trash (an hour later) and saw very very faint line. But I guess maybe it was evaporation line (even though I never got one before), so I took another test right away..... I waited 5 minutes...nothing, but decided to wait until 10 minutes (yeah I know this is pass the time ).... and slowly faint line started to appear. When My hubby got back, I told him to try it, and we waited 5, 10, 15 , 45 minutes, no line whatsoever. So I guess, maybe it is a +ve! We went to Wallmart the next day and bought FRER and surely enough I got a positive on this one, really faint also...I read between the time range. Couple of days later, I use this strip again, even though the color is still faint, but the result appear faster ( in 1 minute ), so I used my last FRER and got a darker line than the first one. Will go to the doctor next week. ![]() What to Expect When You're Expecting: Fourth Edition $24.95 This book is certainly a must-have for every pregnant woman. It was a staple for me during my pregancies. I'd also recommend The Miracle of Me from conception to birth if you have young children (around 7/8 and under) and are looking for a great resource to explain pregancy and fetal development to them in terms they can understand. The Miracle of Me Two pregnancy must-haves in my opinion. ![]() Ingrid & Isabel Women's Maternity Everyday BellaBand, Black, Size One $26.00 I love my BellaBand.
