This is a well-written and clear book. I had been wondering about the whole "tween" talk in parenting circles. I hadn't understood why I was seeing some teen behavior in my nine year old child while she was still playing with toys. This book really laid out this transitional stage for me and in turn is helping me to better mother my daughter through this.

There is solid child development understanding backing this book, and none of the bad attitude or pop psychology that is rampant in most books on tweens.
