 The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green $19.95 This movie is driven, frenetic, and entirely without any charm or humor at all. I forced myself to keep watching to the very end, but it was like having teeth pulled by a chimpanzee on speed. I'm going to break the DVD so I won't forget and end up watching it again by mistake. This is the worst movie I've seen in a very, very long time.  Folie a Deux) Bb) $16.99 Whatever...I don't care what people say, I love this album. It's a great listen, great production, they have an incredibly unique sound. Patrick's vocals are hard to understand at times but the record is very well done regardless, the bonus tracks are cool - especially the [2] acoutic tracks that let you hear songs completely stripped down to bare bones and still are great for those who always say that the band is nothing without all the production! I can appreciate the lyrics more and I love that they included these on this release. I just wish they would let Joe Trohman [guitarist] show his stuff more, he remains somewhat buried in the mass. Check out something very cool on track 8, I was really surprised. This is a solid release as well as their last CD. Many people have a problem with FOB, too commercial, whatever. I am glad to have this disc.  Poster Boy $17.95 This is a beautifully written book about a very pertinent topic (toxins in our food and environment that cause cancer and what we can do to make our world less toxic...) , and it made such an impression on me that I read it in one sitting. I found the story to be utterly believable and very, very moving. The story is so relevant for our culture; I think this important book can inspire change for the better in our modern world. Crane got inside the head of a teenage boy, a fascinating character that evolves into a hero for our times, making the story engrossing from the beginning, but the journey you take with him is anything but predicable. Actually, all of the characters are exceptionally well-drawn. I intend to buy copies for friends of all ages. A must-read! Should be on book lists in every high school! |
