I've enjoyed this title since it came out on the PC years ago and now that they have so many Half Life 2 games on one disc, how can you NOT buy it? If you enjoy FPS games, this is a must for you. It's inventive, great story telling, great pacing and a threat that makes the Flood in Halo look like a trickle. It's amazing. 'Nuff said,

I recently bought the orange box 2 days ago and it just came today and all I have to say is AWESOME! First, I was looking for a xbox 360 game to play because I haven't purchased a game in awhile and I needed a fun one, so I chose the orange box. At first the price caught my eye because I only payed $17 to get this game, NEW! At retailer stores its around $20 so I saved me a few bucks. Anyways, this game is really great. It comes with Half life 2, episodes 1&2, portal, and team fortress 2, now thats a good deal. I already started to play Half life 2 and I'm hooked! Its such a great game, great FPS and the graphics are realistic also. The controls are a bit confusing to get used to, but you'll get the controls down pretty quick. I haven't tryed out portal or team fortress 2 yet, but I will soon, I already played those 2 so I know it will be fun, espically TF2. That pretty much sums up my review about the orange box, I FULLY reccomend getting this game to all you FPS lovers and half life lovers, or just any gamer looking for a great deal on games because the orange box is just great, it will keep me busy for a long time :) I give the orange box a 9.5/10

HALF LIFE 2, as far as combat is concerned (there's a lot), is really difficult on "medium", so I had to switch to "easy" in order to finish the game. Unfortunately, HL2 doesn't have quite as many puzzles as HL1 and they're far less difficult (I never had to look up any walkthrough/cheats in HL2). However, the graphics were very immersive on my dual Radeon X1950/Crossfire rig and it was fun just from a sightseeing POV. Other than the basic virus/conspiracy story carried over from HL1, I had no idea what was going with the dialogue/drama between the father and daughter...slightly annoying, but doesn't matter as far as gameplay. (Far Cry is still my overall favorite FPS, yet.)

PORTAL is just a really fun and immersive single player puzzle game. I absolutely loved it. Even I made it through the whole game, without cheating, in just a few hours (and I'm pretty much a total dumbass)...then, a year later, I played it all the way through again!....AND I NEVER PLAY A GAME TWICE!

TEAM FORTRESS 2 has the most amazing comic style graphics (like something you'd expect from Disney or Warner Brothers), but I guess I'm just not the type that cares that much for character detail/abilities. I played it online and realized, unlike it's predecessors, I had to actually study what all the characters can do before playing...nah. Anyway, just like those before it, this online team shooter becomes a mildly satisfying, blurry/chaotic frenzy of bullets, explosions and bullets.

Steam hasn't been an issue at all. It installed flawlessly and, aside from an advertisement when you quit playing, it doesn't bother me or my system.
