I purchased the battery tender because I have a 2nd car that I rarely drive and the battery had gone dead. I tried to jump it with my other car, but the charge would not hold. I received the battery tender from Amazon and hooked it up. Because the battery was so dead, I kept getting the flashing red light, which meant it was too dead to charge and I thought I would have to buy a new battery. Anyway, before going the new battery route, I tried jumping it again with the other car. This gave it enough charge to get the steady red light. After the steady red, you get a flashing green when the battery is at 80%. The only problem I had is that I never got a flashing or a steady green light. I left it hooked up for several days before I tried to start it. Well, when I did attempt to start it, it cranked immediately. I have been trying to drive it now at least once per week and have not had any problems with the battery. I think this product is wonderful, except for never getting the flashing or steady green light.

I had previously owned a Princton Tec Quad and never had a Petzl lamp but this is well made with some style if that matters to you. The three modes for white light, high, low and flashing. The red light only has two modes of consistent and flashing.

It is very sturdy offers a great beam of light for the white light with only one bulb. I have had it for just 3 weeks so no experiences with it running low yet but I am using it sparingly.

i bought this product for $28.00 or so,this is the best model of the Victornox line to use,it has been the most important knife in my life due to it's many uses...once while camping in Georgia on a lake in January,the wind was about 20 mph,temp was 25 degrees or so,when my storm flap on my tent tore,thinking quickly,I realized that my knife had a blade that was an awl with a hole in it,which allowed me to take nylon line and do a field patch on the tear quickly,which I needed to do in the bitter cold,wet wind.I also looked online and found one just like this for $120.00 or so.They sell usually for around $80.00 or so...this is why I use Amazon for all my needs,I check there first !I figured I saved around $50.00---what a deal huh ?
