Note, this book concentrates on the how to of doing strategic planning. Its emphasis is on creating a process that is productive and effective. This is not a book on strategic planning theory or other esoteric ideas related to strategic planning. It's meant for those who are new to strategic planning, are looking for a way to simplify their planning while not losing effectiveness, or who just feel that their existing planning could be better.

I highly recommend this book for its accessibility, its step-by-step process, and electronic access to all forms mentioned in the book. (I especially recommend the action plan form - even for tasks outside the strategic planning process.)
