![]() AT&T DECT 6.0 Black/Silver Digital 3-Handset Answering System (CL82309) $79.95 I bought these phones hesitantly-it seems that the other expandable systems I've tried just weren't very good...They seemed to suffer from interference, poor range and bad sound quality. But to my suprise, overall, these phones have performed perfectly. I have the answering system and 6 total handsets. The range of the handsets, the call and sound quality, and the overall workmanship of the handsets and base unit are just great. I have been completely satisfied. I don't really care about the absence of speed dialing because I am able to access the directory with the touch of a button and I never remember who is attached to what number anyway. Just scroll through your list and press call when you see the name you want. If you want to add a caller from the missed calls list, just press the menu key for options. I like the voicemail notification-it appears on each handset and the base unit. You can also check your regular messages on any handset by accessing the menu. You can also use any handset to call another handset. The range is suprisingly wide too. I can stand at the other end of my driveway, about 120 feet away and I can still hear perfectly. For the price, the 3 handset system was a really great deal. It was priced at less than $70.00. After testing out the system for a week, I bought an additional 3 handsets separately. If I had known beforehand that I would have been this happy with the set, I would have bought a larger system to begin with. ![]() Panasonic Dect 6.0 Series 4 Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System (KX-TG1034S) $129.95 Very please with these phones. I wished I had bought these before I went thru 2 AT&T sets, they had no volume and it was hard to hear people. Not a problem with these. Good range and have not had a problem with battery life. Also, nice that when you program address book, you can send it to the other 3 phones instead of going to each one and adding people. Buy them. ![]() Palm Pre Phone (Sprint) $499.99 I'm done. I had a Treo 300. Then bought a 600 the day it came out. Then a 650. Then a 755p. After the 755p, I said I was done. Then, I saw the Pre, and thought that I'd give them one more chance. Well I'm really done this time. The Pre is too slow to be functional. I've got 1.3.1 right now, and it would take me 30 seconds to go forward 8 days in the Calendar. This is CRAZY. They went backwards. My Treo 300 calendar app was faster than this. Same thing for the phone app. I'm done. Probably going to try a Droid. This thing has potential, but it's been nearly 6 months, and the lag time is too poor for this device to be used reliably on a daily basis. I'll have 2 apps open and it will tell me to close and app to free up space. Build quality is horrible. I'm done. D.C. ![]() Panasonic Dect 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Phone with 2 Handsets (KX-TG6412M) $59.95 This phone exceeds my expectations. For years I have been fed up with cordless phones to the point of almost getting rid of my land line. I used to buy sony phones, but they stopped making them. For the past 2 years I have had Uniden, and it has been absolutely miserable (continually DROPPING calls, worse than a cell phone!!) But I decided to give one more try with this cordless. This phone has great range and sound quality. The call block feature is great (blocks any toll free or telemarketing calls that I select)! I don't use the answering machine. This phone has one touch access to my insight voicemail--and it tells me on the display when I have voicemails. The verbal caller ID is nice too! Haven't had it long enough to evaluate its battery power or durability. I use broadband phone line, so I don't know about the DSL filter. |
