I think it is important to consider the specifics of your own child's strengths, etc. before discounting this toy if your child is younger. My daughter is 4 1/2 and loves this toy, and is able to work the controls and understand the game objectives easily.

I highly recommend this toy, but again, it's important to consider what is right for your individual child.

I am totally delighted with this camera! It's fascinating to see where my cats are going, and we get some shockingly beautiful photos.
Some photos have included his whiskers in the frame. One fascinating photo just shows his shadow... as he stands on my roof!
Of course the camera will break if you submerge in water. This is a no-brainer!
I'm thinking about wearing the camera as I ride my bike. Why not?

I had a different experience than the other reviewer. I've been playing it for quite a while and I still find it fun and challenging. If you like this type of game, where you have to keep up with customers and keep things straight as it gets more difficult, I think you'll have fun with it.

PetPals is my 3 year old daughter's favorite game! By far she chooses PetPals more often than any of our other Leapster games. My 5 year old son enjoys it too although he prefers StarWars and Wall-E. And our 22 month old baby boy also loves to play PetPals.

It has a neat part of the game where you train your puppy to run along the shape of letters, and it forces your child to correctly write the letters on the screen. I always feel happy to let my children play the Leapster games because after much reservation I am seeing that they know phonics and simple addition and subtraction.
