Since my husband ahd I eat out frequently, I was thrilled to see that someone offered a social stories DVD on this topic. Overall, Little Pilgrims did a good job identifying the key points of the restaurant experiencing from how to order from the menu to how to pay the bill. Little Pilgrims also did an excellent job covering restaurant manners. While I personally found the DVD to be a bit bland, my daughter loves it. Since she is the target audience, I would say that Little Pilgrims hit its mark. The DVD really seems to help her to make sense of the restaurant experience. Since my daughter is hyperlexic, she really seems to appreciate how the producers used labels in this DVD. When the Love Ran Deep $15.98 Anne Marie Menta's songs simply ring true and are in the best tradition of folk and acoustic music. While she is not well known, Ms Menta is worth more than a casual listen. In time, I suspect she will gain a much larger national audience. Her songs are beautifully arranged and yet remain true to their roots. She has unusually good taste in her compositions and the musicians that accompany her are quite gifted. Her songs speak of family, love and the human condition. If you want to hear an artist whose music has not been polluted by some mainstream producer - I'd strongly recommend you give Ms Menta a listen. I loved her first album "Untried and True" (1999) . |
