![]() Palm Z22 Handheld $131.59 The z22 that I purchased has met all of my expectations. I am completely satisfied with this purchase. ![]() PalmOne m500 Handheld $199.99 My old palm pilot failed but i still had the application running on my computer. It was an easy upgrade to the new one. the supplier provided a disc with software and instructions. my info from the old application transferred almost automatically to the new application on my computer and then "synched" with the new PalmOne. ![]() Palm TX Handheld $399.99 First off, I absolutely love my Palm T/X. However, the Palm T/X does have problems with the plastic digitizer (that's the part underneath the screen that detects the pressure from the stylus when you write). These plastic digitizers will fail within a year. The good news is that since this was a very popular PDA, there are after market companies that make replacement parts, and you can replace the digitizer with another plastic one, or you can get a glass digitizer. If you do a web search, you can find the websites that sell the replacement parts, and there are several videos available that show you the steps you need to do to take the T/X apart and replace the digitizer. If you don't feel comfortable doing this (it's not for the faint of heart), you can mail your T/X in and, for an extra fee of course, have it replaced for you. I have had my Palm T/X for three years, I don't know what I would do without it. I replaced the digitizer myself after one year with a plastic one, but then a year later it failed, so I went with the glass one. The glass digitizer works great, and I have not had any problems. I really don't want a personal smart phone, my employer provides one. I will probably buy a new one in the box just to have if I ever lose this one, or drop in a rain puddle. I sync my calendar, I use the alarm function for meeting reminders, I use the note pad for taking quick notes, I have my favorite apps, I use an ereader program so have a nice ereader that fits in my back pocket It look's like the newer versions of the large ereaders from Amazon and others, seem to be slowly morphing into large PDA's. Each version adds some extra functionality, like playing your MP3's, read pdf programs, etc. ![]() HP iPAQ 4150 Pocket PC $80.99 I bought this pocket pc used to use as an e-reader since the price didn't even compare to some of the e-readers available now. It also works great for listening to music and watching movies on the Windows Media Player. This device comes with wi-fi which is great for checking your e-mail and sending IMs where ever a hot spot is available without having to pay a monthly fee. And of course it works great for remembering important dates. |
