![]() Rick Steves' Paris 2009 $17.95 Awesome book- we carried it all over Paris and saw other people carrying it and walking the routes, lol. I did find the Ru Cler walk a bit disappointing- way too crowded and the merchants a little over run. But- we found another great place with the same type shoppes, just a little lower key. I advise finding your own "picnic supplies" places. The book was great for the museums, the prices were very accurate, as was the transportation info. Fantastic book! ![]() This is Paris (This is . . .) $17.95 ...and I'm 42. I purchased this book for my Godson prior to my visit to France. After I went, I read the book again with him. I fell in love with the book and purchased my own copy as a keepsake. It brought back so much. It's truly a magical book especially if you have any knowledge or love of Paris. I can't recommend it enough. ![]() Spectacular Paris $45.00 I have a lot of picture books as I am a keen photographer. This book compares well to most picture books. Overall, the quality of the photos is good and some are very sharp and a few are exceptional. If you like Paris like I do, it's a decent addition to your library. We went just after Christmas and encountered mix weather with some beautiful days, some grey and one really grotty - the snow was quite nice and added its own atmosphere. In this book, it's nice to see some of the sites at their best. ![]() Quiet Corners of Paris $14.95 When I go to Paris I am usually with friends and we have a schedule that is hurriedly moving from this place to that. This book makes me want to go to Paris alone to get away and relax, something I typically don't associate with such a bright, exciting city. The photos emit a sense of solitude and peace. The nooks and crannies that Napias and Lefebure take us to include gardens, museums, side streets, and parks. A good walk's destination with a book in pocket that provides a contrast to the flea markets, bistros, and shopping excusions that we readily find in Paris, giving us a more round view of what Paris has to offer. |
